Privacy Policy
Last updated: 23 October 2026
This policy explains how ArchitecturalTech.ie (Rares Marin, Architectural Technologist, Dublin, Ireland) handles personal data collected through this website. I am the data controller for that data and I process it in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Acts 1988–2018.
What I collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, the service you are interested in and your message.
- Quote calculator: your name, email address, phone number (optional), project address (optional), project type, the areas entered, the packages selected and the estimate shown to you. I store your email address so I can send you the quote after you finish the calculator, and to follow up if I haven't heard back.
- Direct contact: anything you send me by email or phone, such as project details, drawings or addresses.
- Server logs: my hosting provider automatically records technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
How I use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote (legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering a contract).
- To deliver services you engage me for (legal basis: performance of a contract).
- To meet tax, accounting and professional record keeping obligations (legal basis: legal obligation).
- To keep the website secure (legal basis: legitimate interests).
I do not sell your data or use it for marketing without your consent.
Who I share it with
- Formspree, which processes contact form submissions and forwards them to me by email. Formspree is based in the United States; transfers are covered by its data processing terms and Standard Contractual Clauses.
- OVHcloud, which hosts this website within the EU. Quote form submissions are stored on this hosting, in a private area that is not reachable from the website.
- Planning authorities, architects, engineers or contractors, only where needed for your project and with your knowledge.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 12 months. Records relating to projects and invoices are kept for as long as required by Irish tax and professional obligations (generally six years after the project ends).
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, or to receive a copy in a portable format. To make a request, email rares@architecturaltech.ie. I will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how your data is handled, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission.
Changes
I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
