01 About
About me and how I work
Rares Marin, architectural technologist, working with homeowners, builders and practices across Dublin.
My process
1. Tell me about the project
Start with a quote request or the contact form. Tell me about the property, what you want to achieve and any constraints you know of. The quote calculator gives you a price straight away, and I confirm the final fee once I have reviewed your project.
2. Site visit
If you would like to meet on site, I do site visits, site meetings and on site advice. We walk the property, talk through your options and I tell you what the site is likely to allow.
A site visit carries a €200 deposit. The deposit is refunded once you pick a package or instruct me to carry out any drawing work.
3. Survey and drawings
I survey the existing building, then prepare the drawings in stages, every one of them to the Building Regulations: planning first, then tender and construction information as your project needs it. You review the work at each stage before we move on.
4. Through to the build
Tender documents let builders price the same job fairly, and construction drawings show them how to build it. I answer questions from the builders along the way and issue revisions if site conditions change.
